The Greater Essex County District School Board is reporting COVID-19 cases at four more schools in Windsor-Essex.

The board is reporting one case in a student Essex Public School on November 9th, one additional case in a student at Jack Miner Public School on November 7th, one additional case in a student at Margaret D. Bennie Public School on November 7th, and one additional case in a student at Princess Elizabeth Public School on November 9th.

Greater Essex County District School Board public relations officer Scott Scantlebury has said the board does not release information about the number of cohorts or students affected by the case.

The board sent letters to the Essex Public school community, the Jack Miner school community, the Margaret D. Bennie school community, and the Princess Elizabeth school community.

“We have been working with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) by providing lists of students and staff who may have been in contact with the individual,” the letters state. “If you have not been contacted, you or your child (ren) have not been identified as close contacts. The WECHU is contacting any individuals (students and staff) who have an identified high-risk exposure with the confirmed case and will give directions to follow.
