The Windsor Essex County Health Unit announced 30 new cases of COVID-19 in Windsor and Essex County on Tuesday.

New & Total Cases

The Health Unit says 15 cases are close contacts of confirmed cases, 5 cases are community acquired, 1 case is travel related, and the acquisition sources of 9 cases are still under investigation.

Total overall cases increased from 20,393 on Monday October 25th to 20,423 on Tuesday October 26th.

They say 170 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex (increase of 9 since yesterday).

Variants of Concern

  • 1,839 of the total variant cases to date have been the Alpha variant (B.1.1.7)
