The Windsor Essex County Health Unit announced 26 new cases of COVID-19 in Windsor and Essex County on Friday.

New & Total Cases

The Health Unit says 10 cases are close contacts of confirmed cases, 11 cases are community acquired, 1 case is travel related, and the acquisition sources of 4 cases are still under investigation.

They say 199 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex (decrease of 3 since yesterday).

Variants of Concern

The Health Unit says 4,805 preliminary or confirmed variant of concern cases have been identified to date (increase of 18 since yesterday).
