The Greater Essex County District School Board is reporting COVID-19 cases at four more schools in Windsor-Essex.
The board is reporting one case in a student at General Amherst High School on October 24th, one case in a student at John Campbell Public School on October 25th, one case in a student at Prince Edward Public School on October 25th, and one additional case in a student at Sandwich Secondary School on October 24th.
Greater Essex County District School Board public relations officer Scott Scantlebury has said the board does not release information about the number of cohorts or students affected by the case.
The board sent letters to the General Amherst school community, the John Campbell school community, the Prince Edward school community, and the Sandwich Secondary school community.
“We have been working with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) by providing lists of students and staff who may have been in contact with the individual,” the letters state. “If you have not been contacted, you or your child (ren) have not been identified as close contacts. The WECHU is contacting any individuals (students and staff) who have an identified high-risk exposure with the confirmed case and will give directions to follow.”
