Valerie Critchley has been appointed the Interim Director of Legislative Services & Clerk for the Town of Amherstburg.
Critchley has over 20 years of experience in the public sector. During her career, she held several roles with the City of Windsor including Legal Counsel, Acting Directing of Legal Services, Manager of Purchasing & Risk Management, and Executive Director of Council Services/City Clerk.
In her most recent role as City Clerk/Licence Commissioner and Corporate Leader for Public Engagement & Human Services, a position she held for 11 years, she had responsibility for Council Services, Communications & Customer Service, Gaming, Policy, Licensing & By-law Enforcement as well as Human Resources and Employee Relations.
