The City of Windsor will be holding events dedicated to not-for-profit and charitable organization fundraising efforts at Lanspeary Park this summer and fall.
The expanded use of Lanspeary is part of the commitment City Council made during the 2021 budget process to waive rental fees in the park to help those agencies suffering during the global pandemic.
Amenities such as the gazebo and arena pad will be the locations for events and activities beginning July 24th, 2021, offered through the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Serenity Song, Transition to Betterness and WindsorEats.
“The City of Windsor is taking every action we can to make it easier for small businesses to respond and pivot to evolving public health guidelines,” said Mayor Drew Dilkens. “The use of Lanspeary Park by community groups, charities and Windsor Eats makes more space available for safe activities that promote and support local organizations.”
An event schedule can be found on the city’s website.
