LaSalle Outdoor Pool Opens Monday With Limited Programming

The LaSalle Outdoor Pool is set to open on Monday for adult length swims, aquafitness, recreation swims and lifeguarding programs.

Registration is free for adult length swims, aquafitness and recreation swims. Currently, capacity limits will be:

  • adult length swims, 4 people
  • aquafitness, 5 people
  • recreation swims, 10 people (each family member must be registered)

Capacities may be increased depending on future COVID-19 public health guidelines. Visit lasalleactive.ca to register and to access the schedule for each program.

Lifeguarding programs including Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross and National Lifeguard will run in two-week long sessions through July and August. These will be a mix of online sessions and in-person sessions at the LaSalle Outdoor Pool. Registration for all sessions begins on June 28 at lasalleactive.ca and each will be capped at a maximum of 10 participants. Any credits on account at the Vollmer Complex may be applied to the registration fee for the lifeguarding classes.

LaSalle Outdoor Pool User Guidelines:

  •  Patrons are to arrive showered with their bathing suit on under their clothes.
  • Patrons will enter the large gate off Laurier Drive where a screening tent will be set up.
  • Washrooms and changerooms are available and can be used during and at the end of the swim session.
  • Masks are required in common areas where physical distancing may not be maintained and while inside the changerooms (ex. while approaching the screening tent, on the pool deck and in the changerooms). Masks are not required while in the pool.
  • Patrons will exit through the changerooms and will be able to change out of their wet swimsuit. Showers will not be available.
