Police in LaSalle is investigating an arson at LaSalle Public School.
Police say that at 4pm Sunday, a pile of debris was deliberately set on fire outside the primary grades schoolyard area.
The fire was quickly extinguished and caused minimal damage to the school’s exterior, and there was no damage reported to the school’s interior.
Portions of the ceiling of the overhang had to be removed to ensure that there was no fire within.
