A Windsor man has won $100,000 with the OLG’s Encore.

Douglas Beaton of Windsor matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the March 27th Lotto 6/49 draw to win $100,000!

Beaton, a 62-year-old retiree, said he’s a long-time lottery player.

“I always add Encore,” Beaton said. “I received an email from OLG that said, ‘Winning ticket – submit form.’ I’ve never seen that before. When I clicked on the link it said ‘Winner – $100,000’ and then I closed it and pulled it back up to make sure.”

Beaton discovered his win on a weeknight at 11:30pm and was so excited he had to call his family and good friend. “They asked why I was calling so late – I said I had to tell someone!”

Beaton plans to invest his winnings.
