Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens is launching a online community conversations series to allow residents to hear directly from him on a variety of important local topics and to participate in a dialogue regarding the future of our city.
Starting on June 9th, residents will be able to participate in one of three complimentary sessions hosted via a virtual online platform. Each session will begin with a brief presentation from Mayor Dilkens and then open up to questions, discussion and conversation about any issue participants wish to raise. The Mayor’s presentation will be identical for each of these sessions.
Topics will include information regarding the municipal budget, ongoing local projects, and top priorities in the coming months. E
“Pre-pandemic, I would enjoy participating in consultations across Windsor and also hosting my ward walks as a way to talk about issues important to all residents,” said Mayor Drew Dilkens. “This virtual platform is another way I’m looking to engage with Windsorites across the City. While the global pandemic has created significant pressures on individuals, businesses and families, the time has come to focus efforts on building back better, creating jobs and opportunity for all Windsorites, and promoting diversity and inclusion across the city.”
Virtual Community Conversations will be taking place on Wednesday, June 9th; Wednesday, June 16;th and Wednesday, June 23th, from 7pm to 8pm.
Each meeting can host a maximum of 100 participants. Those interested in participating can register online at www.mayordrewdilkens.ca or by calling (519) 255-6315. To watch all sessions live without participating in questions, visit Mayor Drew Dilkens’ Facebook and YouTube pages.
