The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has expanded COVID-19 vaccine eligibility at mass-vaccination sites for three more groups:

  • Adults 18 years and older, born in 2003 or earlier.
  • Essential workers who cannot work from home that are 16 years and older, born in 2005 or earlier.
  • Youth 12 years of age on the day of their appointment or older with “Highest Risk”, “High Risk”, or “At-Risk” health conditions listed in the Ministry of Health guidance document.

They say you can now book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment at one of the vaccination sites to receive a first dose:

  • WFCU in Windsor
  • St. Clair College Sportsplex in Windsor
  • Windsor Hall Downtown Windsor
  • 1407 Moy Clinic
  • Libro Centre in Amherstburg
  • Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre in Leamington

The Health Unit says people under 16 years of age must be accompanied by their custodial parent and/or guardian at the vaccination clinic.

The Health Unit says vaccinations at all of the clinics are by appointment only and walk-ins are not permitted. The mass vaccination clinics distribute either the Pfizer BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, however those aged 12 to 17 will only receive the Pfizer vaccine as the Moderna vaccine is not approved for people under 18.
