Hi, I’m Tootsie!

I am a 12 year old senior girl looking for a quiet and predictable home. Unfortunately my human passed away and I ended up the shelter, and to be honest I am not handling all these scary changes so well… I get pretty nervous and defensive when people enter my personal space, and do not like being picked up or put in/taken out of a carrier. My ideal home would be quiet and low stress, with no young children, cats or dogs. I am a pretty independent girl so prefer doing things on my terms. I am very affectionate once I have been given a chance to settle into an environment, but I like to be in control of when I receive affection (trust me, I will let you know)! I am hoping someone might be willing to give me a chance, and that will respect my personal space and boundaries while I adjust to a new home.
