Lakeshore’s Atlas Tube Centre is being rebranded as the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre.
The Centre was named by Stephanie and Barry Zekelman who generously donated $1 million to name the facility as well as donated steel for the Aquatic centre.
The name change is to minimize confusion with the Atlas Tube manufacturing facility in Harrow.
The Zekelman’s fully support the name change and have covered the cost of the new signs. There will be a new sign on the south side of the building facing County Road 42 and the sign that was near the entrance will be moved to the west side of the building, increasing visibility and identification of the facility.
