Adults aged 60 or older can now book a vaccination appointment at any of the area’s five targeted vaccination clinics using the Health Unit’s booking system.
The Health Unit announced the change to the booking age range on Friday morning. Until today, only those 70 and older were able to book vaccination appointments for the area’s mass-vaccination clinics.
As of today, adults 60 years and older born in 1961 or earlier will be able to register to book a COVID-19 vaccination appointment at either:
- The Windsor Family Credit Union (WFCU) Centre in Windsor
- The Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre (NFFRC) in Leamington
- The St. Clair College SportsPlex in Windsor
- Windsor Hall (former Windsor Star building)
- Libro Credit Union Centre in Amherstburg
The Health Unit says vaccinations at the clinics are by appointment only and walk-ins will not be accepted.
You can book your appointment using their online booking system or for more information, visit wevax.ca.
The Health Unit says there are currently limited appointments in the booking system as upcoming vaccine supply shipments are unknown.
If you’re not able to access the online system, you can book an appointment by calling 226-773-2200.
