Downtown Windsor Wants You To Strike Gold With Shop2Win Campaign

The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association wants to spread that luck of the leprechaun to some fortunate downtown shoppers this year.

“We’ve now held this contest twice, once over Christmas and once over Valentine’s Day,“ says DWBIA Chair Brian Yeomans. “And the sentiment has remained the same. We’ve considered how we could give, while at the same time promoting our downtown businesses, with a fun spin on a current celebration. This time around, it’s for St. Patrick’s Day.”

The DWBIA’s third round of Shop2Win invites residents and visitors to the downtown to shop and dine in the core for the next two weeks, taking photos of receipts of items purchased at retailers, restaurants and businesses within the DWBIA boundaries between the dates of March 1st and March 14th, 2021.

You then upload these receipts to shopdowntownwindsor2win.ca for the chance to win one of four weekly prizes of $50 gift cards to downtown businesses. The contest runs for two weeks, for a total of eight prizes.

“The spirit of St. Patrick’s Day is luck and laughter,” says Yeomans. “We’d like to add some levity to this spring season and remind folks how much there is to enjoy downtown.”
