City Giving Charities Access To Lanspeary Park For Fundraising Events

The City of Windsor is expanded use of Lanspeary Park to ensure that charitable organizations can have access to this space during select weekends to ensure that they can host fundraising events to benefit their operations in our community.

The decision was made as part of the 2021 City of Windsor municipal budget process.

Eligible organizations are encouraged to apply by March 19th, 2021 if they meet the following conditions:

  • Applicants must be a registered charitable organization.
  • Applicants must be based in the City of Windsor.
  • Applications will be selected based on lottery and available dates.
  • Donations solicited by accepted organizations must be to support local people in need, regardless of race, sexual orientation, religious affiliation.
  • Applicant must be signing officer to the organization.
  • Accepted organizations must only host their approved activity.
  • Activities must adhere to all Regional or Provincial Health guidelines and restrictions.
  • Accepted organizations are required to supply their own personnel including volunteers to support their activities.
  • Accepted organizations are required to supply any materials needed to support their activities including tables, chairs, tents, etc.
  • Accepted organizations will be required to sign a facility use permit.
  • Accepted organizations will be required to supply a certificate of insurance at a value deemed appropriate based on the activity.
