3 New Deaths, 60 New Cases Of COVID-19 In Windsor Essex On Saturday

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit announced 60 new cases of COVID-19 in Windsor and Essex County on Saturday, bringing the local total to 12,530.

Today’s New Cases

Cases increased from 12,470 on Friday February 12th to 12,530 on Saturday February 13th and 288 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex.

The Health Unit says 15 cases are outbreak-related, 7 cases are close contacts of confirmed cases, 6 cases are community acquired, and 32 cases are still being investigated by the Health Unit’s nursing staff.

Resolved Cases

The Health Unit lists 11,887 total resolved cases.

That’s an increase of 32 resolved cases today.

Deaths

The Health Unit announced three additional deaths from COVID-19 today bringing the local death toll to 355.

They say two women in their 70s from the community and one woman in her 90s from long-term care passed away.

Hospitalizations

The Health Unit lists 33 hospitalizations today: 22 people in acute care (5 less today), and 11 people in the ICU (2 less today) with confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Windsor Essex.
