15 New Cases Of COVID-19 In Windsor Essex On Sunday

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit announced 15 new cases of COVID-19 in Windsor and Essex County on Sunday, bringing the local total to 12,334.

Today’s New Cases

Cases increased from 12,319 on Saturday February 6th to 12,334 on Sunday February 7th and 370 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex.

The Health Unit says 2 cases are outbreak-related, 4 cases are close contacts of confirmed cases, 2 cases are community acquired, and 7 cases are still being investigated by the Health Unit’s nursing staff.

Resolved Cases

The Health Unit lists 11,621 total resolved cases.

That’s an increase of 10 resolved cases today.

Deaths

The have been no additional deaths from COVID-19 today and the local death toll stands at 343.

Hospitalizations

The Health Unit lists 51 hospitalizations today: 41 people in acute care, and 10 people in the ICU with confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Windsor Essex.
