Outbreak Order Issued

Dr. Wajid Ahmed, Medical Officer of Health for Windsor Essex says the Health Unit has issued an outbreak order for the Downtown Mission.

He says the order comes after 70 total cases of COVID-19 were reported among residents and staff, and will require the continued closure of the mission’s original location at 664 Victoria and their 875 Ouellette location. He says it will also require the mission to not accept new guests at its temporary location inside the old Windsor Public Library downtown branch.

Dr. Ahmed says the City of Windsor is providing accommodation to guests at Windsor Water World with a second location being announced soon.
