The Essex Region Conservation Authority has a new chair.
Councillor Tania Jobin was acclaimed at the Annual General Meeting of January 21st. First elected to Town of Tecumseh Council in 2010, she has been an active and engaged member of ERCA’s Board since 2015 and has served as Vice Chair for the past two years.
“With the recent changes to the Conservation Authorities Act, this next year will include the preparation of a transition plan and municipal agreements,” said Jobin. “I look forward to working with all member municipalities to ensure that the broad scope of integrated watershed management programs we provide are not fragmented, so that we can ensure a future of environmental sustainability for our region.”
Windsor Councillor Kieran McKenzie will serve as the Vice Chair.
