Outdoor Skating Returns To Lanspeary With Reservations Required

The outdoor ice rink at Lanspeary Lions Park opens for the season on Monday.
In keeping with current Provincial regulatory requirements free public skating for up to 25 participants at a time will be available by advanced reservation only at activewindsor.ca.
Reserved sessions will be one hour in length with 30 minutes in between sessions for staff to groom the ice surface and provide enhanced cleaning prior to the start of the next session.
COVID protocol will be in place and participants are asked to arrive for their reserved time no more than 10 minutes early. Helmets are encouraged. Participants will be required to physically distance during check-in. You must wear your mask until you are on the ice.
City of Windsor staff will be on site to check skaters in, have each go through a pre-screening and admit to the ice. Washrooms are available but no additional facilities are open at this time.
Registration opens at 7:30 am on Sunday, December 20th, 2020. Due to reduced service levels staff are not available to take telephone reservations at this time.
Sessions will take place on Monday at 4:00 pm, 5:30 pm, 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm and from Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020 until Sunday, January 3rd, 2021 with times starting at 8:00 am and the last session ending at 9:30 pm.
On December 24th and 31st, 2020 the rink will close at 3:00 pm, and skating will not be available on Friday, December 25th, 2020 or Friday January 1st, 2021.
