A no visitor policy will again be in place at Windsor Regional Hospital, Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare and Erie Shores Healthcare.
The policy is effective at 12:01am on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020.
Hospital officials say that this is based on rapidly rising case rates for COVID-19 and active outbreaks at two campuses.
“This difficult decision’s intended as a precaution to keep patients, families and our health care teams safe as transmission rates rise and risk a crisis point for hospitals. High patient volumes throughout our system and reduced bed capacity is challenging the entire regional health care system, and we must do what we can to limit the opportunity for further spread of the COVID-19 virus,” read a joint release from the hospitals.
Limited exceptions to the no visitors policy are in place at each institution and can be found for Windsor Regional Hospital here , Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare here and Erie Shores Healthcare here.
