The Town of Essex is seeking a new Youth Council Member to serve in 2021-22.
Youth Council Members attend and participate in regular meetings of Town Council for the purpose of bringing a youth perspective to Council matters or discussions. Currently, Town Council meets electronically (via Zoom) on the first and third Monday of each month at 6:00pm.
To be eligible for the Youth Council Member position, the applicant must be a resident of the Town of Essex who is under the age of eighteen and currently enrolled as a full-time student.
Students interested in being appointed as a Youth Member of Essex Town Council are encouraged to submit an application online, which includes a brief outline of their qualifications and interest, no later than Friday, December 11. The application can be filled online at www.essex.ca/YouthCouncilApp.
