MADD Windsor & Essex County has launched the annual Project Red Ribbon campaign to promote sober driving throughout the upcoming holiday season.
Project Red Ribbon raises awareness about the risks of impaired driving during the holiday season and encourages motorists to always drive sober.
MADD Windsor & Essex County is asking residents of Windsor and surrounding communities to show their commitment to sober driving by displaying a red ribbon or red ribbon car decal on their vehicles, key chains, purses, briefcases and backpacks.
“This is an opportunity to educate thousands of people about the dangers and consequences of impaired driving before the busy holiday season begins,” said MADD Windsor & Essex County Community Leader, Chaouki Hamka.
Red ribbons and car decals are available from MADD Windsor & Essex County at 519-791-9623 or by emailing [email protected] and the MADD Canada web site at madd.ca.
Ribbons and car decals are also available at local and provincial police headquarters.
