Jeewen Gill Wins City Of Windsor Ward 7 By-Election

The polls have closed, the results are in, and Jeewen Gill is the new city councillor for Ward 7 in Windsor.

Gill fills the seat left vacant by Irek Kusmierczyk, who was elected Member of Parliament for Windsor-Tecumseh in the last federal election.

Gill ran on a platform of improving roads and civil infrastructure, parks and community safety.

Gill won with 19.7 per cent of the vote or 1015 votes. In second was Angelo Marignani with 17 per cent of the vote or 879 votes, and third was Greg Lemay with 15.1 per cent of the votes or 781 votes.
