Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Unifor have reached a tentative agreement averting a strike at plants in Windsor, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Montreal, Brampton and Red Deer.
The union represents 9,000 members across Canada and was positioned to strike at midnight.
Unifor President Jerry Dias will provide more information and details of the tentative agreement at a news conference that will be streamed on Facebook at 10:00am on Thursday morning.
