The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has confirmed 1 new case of COVID-19 as of Thursday, bringing the local total to 2,664. They say 2,544 people locally have recovered.
Cases increased from 2,663 on Wednesday September 30th to 2,664 on Thursday October 1st and 39 people are currently self-isolating with COVID-19.
The Health Unit says the one new case was travel related outside of North America.
There have been no additional deaths due to COVID-19 as of Thursday and the local death toll stands at 76.
