The Island Unplugged Music Festival on Pelee Island will not take place next summer.

According to a post on Facebook, the board of Pelee Island Cultural Events made the decision in light of the current and ongoing uncertainty around large group gatherings.

“It takes up to 11 months for our volunteer board to organize our little island fest. As we entered into what would normally be our early planning stages, we all agreed that we’d just have to sit 2021 out,” the post reads.

“Our board remains committed to bringing organized arts and culture programming to our remote island and look forward to a time when we can get back at it.”
