Record Day For COVID-19 Testing

Windsor Regional Hospital says that 418 people attended the first of two days of drive-thru COVID-19 testing Monday at St. Clair College.
“Impressively, virtually every driver and passenger came wearing masks and were very supportive and appreciative of our WRH team. This meant a lot to the team and made the heat tolerable!” the hospital said in a tweet late Monday.
The hospital says another 240 were also tested at the Ouellette Campus assessment centre, making Monday a new one-day record for testing by with a total of 648 tests.
Testing continues Tuesday at the Sportsplex from 9am to 4 m. The Ouellette Campus Assessment Centre will also be open for regular weekday hours from 8am to 7pm.

The hospital also plans to use the inside of the Sportsplex for COVID-19 testing next month, starting Thursday, September 3rd and Friday, September 4th from 9am to 4pm before the Labour Day weekend.
As of Tuesday, Septtember 8th, the Sportsplex assessment centre will be open the same hours as the Ouellette Campus location from 8am to 7pm on weekdays and from 9am to 4pm on Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays.
