The streets of downtown Windsor will close to vehicle traffic again for this weekend’s patio pop up in the downtown core.

“After two successful weekends of streets open to pedestrians and patios, we’re looking forward to capitalizing on a third,” says DWBIA chair Brian Yeomans. “I know I’ll spend the weekend on a patio downtown — will you?”

The three new downtown Windsor parklets will be fully operational, and the DWBIA has encouraged retail shops to also expand for sidewalk sales. A full slate of entertainment, sponsored in part by the University of Windsor’s School of Creative Arts, includes djembe, jazz trios, pianists and guitar players. Aerials artists on rigs will also demonstrate their talent and skills.

The following streets are closed from 5pm on Friday through to midnight on Sunday:

  • Ouellette Avenue, between Wyandotte and Riverside Drive
  • University Avenue West, between Pelissier Street and Freedom Way
  • Pelissier Street, between University Avenue and Chatham Street
  • Maiden Lane West
  • WIFF Alley
