Anchor Coffee House at Devonshire Mall has closed.

“As you can imagine, a build-out of this scale is not a small endeavour. This year has definitely not been an easy one for most people, especially for small businesses. From day one, we’ve made a conscious decision to create an environment that puts our people first and creates a culture that represents our desire to cultivate community,” a post on Facebook reads.

The location opened in the mall last October, and owners say that after spending countless hours of design, planning and construction, this was not an easy decision for them.

“We choose to remain thankful for this awesome opportunity to bring locally focused quality to a segment of the industry usually more focused on quantity. We want to publicly say thank you to our amazing Anchor team members who have continued to stand by our side. Also, to the Devonshire Mall staff, our incredible family and friends have shown their support over the last year and, lastly, to each of our loyal customers that make what we do worth doing. It is because of all of you that we get to do what we do. We do not take that for granted at all! Anchor is moving into a new chapter with tons of exciting things coming soon.”

Anchor has two other locations in Windsor. One in Walkerville and the other on Huron Church that remains closed still.
