Since the official launch of the June 27th Miracle community food drive on Friday, over 1,000 volunteers have signed up to help, but more are needed.

The June 27th Miracle initiative is asking every Windsor-Essex resident to place a non-perishable food item on their doorstep by 12pm, and an army of community volunteers will be going around to pick them up. Drop-off locations will be available for those living in rural areas. All donations will be given to food banks and organizations across the community.

“We are absolutely astonished by the outpouring of support Windsor Essex residents have offered so far,” said Joshua Lane, part of the Organizing Committee. “Our goal was to connect Windsor Essex residents together and help our neighbours in need, once again they stepped up to the plate! We have over 1000 volunteers that have signed up in the first 48 hours!”
