LaSalle police have closed the investigation into a possible fake police officer in the town.
They say that on Friday, June 12th, 2020, they received a complaint of a suspicious male possibly impersonating a police officer in the area of Malden Road and Delmar Street.
After an exhaustive and thorough investigation, police say that they have reason to believe that the incident did not occur as reported and there is no evidence to support a public safety risk by an unknown person impersonating a police officer in the Town of LaSalle.
