Chatham-Kent OPP are investigating a single-vehicle crash that happened in the eastbound lane of Highway 401 at County Road 42 near Tilbury.
It was just before 7am Friday morning that a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old male left the roadway and rolled over into the highway median.
The victim sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash and was transported to hospital.
The highway fully reopened to traffic just before noon.
