Transit Windsor will resume operations on Monday, May 4th, 2020.  Here is all you need to know if you take the bus.

Routes:

  • Transit Windsor will operate on an enhanced Sunday schedule, seven days a week until further notice.
  • You can find a complete schedule here.

Routes Not In Operation:

  • Central 3
  • Central 3 West
  • South Windsor 7
  • Lauzon 10
  • Parent 14
  • Tunnel Bus
  • Leamington LTW42

Route Detours:

Social Distancing:

  • Busloads will be limited to 10 passengers, plus one wheelchair capacity to accomplish physical distancing.
  • To ensure there is adequate distance between riders and drivers, some seats will be marked as unavailable.
  • Once a bus is at capacity, stops will be bypassed and the bus sign will display “Sorry … This Bus is Full.”
  • If a bus becomes overcrowded, passengers will be asked to exit to adhere to social distancing guidelines. The bus will not leave the stop until this happens.
  • Riders are asked to follow the advice of public health officials to ensure the smoothest possible operations going forward, including limiting travel to essential trips only.

Fares:

  • Fares will not be required, and all passengers are asked to enter and exit the bus through the rear doors.

Accessibility Needs:

  • Riders with accessibility needs may continue to use the front doors; one wheelchair passenger at a time may occupy this area.
