Windsor Police have some advice if your planning in taking part in a tribute vehicle convoy designed to honour front line workers.
Recommendations include:
- Avoid face-to-face meetings
- Obey all rules of the road (i.e. Highway Traffic Act – blocking intersection and Fail to Stop at Stop signs and Red Lights)
- Keep the planned route to a short distance with a limited number of involved vehicles (fewer vehicles and shorter distances are safer)
- Remain in your vehicle during the entire event
- No interacting or gathering with individuals outside of the vehicles
- Do not gather prior to or following a convoy to physically interact
Police say that physical gatherings of more than 5 people remains a violation under the current Provincial Emergency Order and that failure to comply with an order made during a declared emergency carries a $750 fine.
