Construction has started on Dominion Boulevard that will see new sewers constructed as well as a new road surface with turning lanes at Northwood Street.
The project was originally planned for this summer, but has started earlier due to schools being closed.
The road is closed between the E.C. Row Expressway and Northwood Street and Northwood Street is also be closed from Longfellow Avenue to McKay Avenue.
Work is expected to last for seven week.
