Windsor’s Spring 2020 Bridal and Event Expo has been cancelled.

Organizer Maurizio Tiberia says the event, originally scheduled for April 22nd and 23rd of this week at the Ciociaro Club, has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 physical distancing requirements.

Tiberia says rescheduling the event was not possible due to the “continuous changes and extensions of physical restriction dates.”

The Bridal and Event Expo is part of a series of wedding shows spanning twenty years, Tiberia says, and they’ve produced over thirty expos over the years.

“We know the importance of this industry in the Windsor and Essex County region and are concerned for our industry,” he said. “The wedding and event businesses in Windsor and Essex County employ over 10,000 people and that is why it is important for our community to buy local first.”

Tiberia says they are working to help restart the wedding industry in the future. “We care for our clients and for their families and those that had to cancel or postpone their weddings and events,” he said. “Our goal is to work on options for those affected and to help restart the wedding and event industry in the near future.”
