A local McDonald’s employee has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a statement from McDonald’s on Thursday, April 9th, an employee from the location at 3354 Dougall Avenue reported testing positive for COVID-19.
“Out of an abundance of caution, McDonald’s Canada made the decision to immediately shut down the restaurant for a thorough cleaning and sanitation by 3rd party cleaning experts, WINMAR,” said Ryma Boussoufa, External Communications Manager, Corporate Relations for McDonald’s.
Boussoufa says that the employee worked on March 31st from 5am to 1pm, and all crew members who may have been in close contact with the employee have been asked to self-quarantine until further information is available.
For any guests, who may have visited the restaurant on March 31st, Boussoufa says to take direction from the experts at the Ontario Public Health by visiting their website.
