Construction Starting On Front Road In LaSalle

Construction is about to get underway to replace the watermain on Front Road, between Gary Avenue and Malden Road.

The town says that the road will remain open with a reduction of one lane in each direction, and motorists should expect some delays.

The 4.5 km project is expected to last until the end of September.

Residents in the area will experience some disruption in their water service, and will be advised of those interruptions in advance. Garbage and recycle collection will take place as scheduled.

The 8″ ductile iron watermain was installed in 1984. The watermain experiences numerous breaks throughout its length each year, and is in need of replacement. The $3M project is included in the 2020 Town of LaSalle Budget.
