The Windsor/ Essex County Humane Society has made some temporary changes due to COVID-19.
Effective March 18th, the Humane Society will be closed to the public until at least March 29th, except by appointment.
This change means that all services at the public spay/neuter clinic are discontinued, and any appointments already booked will be rescheduled.
They will continue to accept stray or surrendered animals who are sick or injured, or other animals who urgently need care. Intakes will be by appointment only by calling 519-966-5751.
They still have many pets looking for loving homes, so will be taking applications online. You can view available animals at windsorhumane.org and follow the directions to submit an application via email. They will then contact you to schedule a meeting and hopefully send you home with a new friend to “social distance” with.
For emergencies, they are still available 24 hours a day by calling 519-966-5751.
