The Amherstburg Farmers’ Market will have a new home starting with the 2020 season.

After several seasons of moving around, the market has found a permanent home at GL Heritage Brewery located at 8728 Howard Avenue.

Now in its 10th year, the market first started at the Little White Church, before moving to Toddy Jones Park when the town sold the church property.

The market features fresh seasonal vegetables, fruit, herbs, fresh-cut flowers, fresh fish, cured and smoked fish, sausages and meats; home-made pies, cookies and breads; craft beer and wines; locally made candies, baked goods, jams and preserves; natural-made products such as soaps, candles, pottery and artwork.

The Amherstburg Farmers’ Market and GL Heritage will also host local talent, and family-friendly attractions featured on different weekends.

The market season kicks off on Saturday, May 16th, and will be held every Saturday from 8:30am until 1:30pm until mid-October.

Applications for vendors are still being accepted. Creative and imaginative vendors with expertise in their craft, whether it be growing things or making things, are encouraged to apply. If you are interested in being featured at the 2020 Amherstburg Farmers’ Market, you can contact Rita at [email protected] for the vendor package.

GL Heritage Brewing Company is 200m from the former market location the Little White Church.
