The Catholic school board is currently in the process of developing a web-based strategy so that students can continue learning while schools remain closed.
In order for this plan to work, they need to ensure that students have working devices, and are currently conducting a board-wide inventory of mobile electronic devices along with a needs assessment in each of the school communities to determine which students require devices and internet access.
If families will require support, they are asked to call their school office and leave a message by no later than noon on Friday, March 27th.
There is a limit on the number of Chromebooks and iPads the school board can loan and they cannot guarantee that every student will get one at this point.
The school board is exploring distribution options including the possibility of pick up points, using Board vehicles or working with the transportation consortium to make deliveries to families in need.
