Essex Power Corporation Announces New President & CEO

There will be a new person at the top of Essex Power Corporation.

John Avdoulos will take over as President & CEO effective March 2nd, 2020, replacing, Ray Tracey who will be retiring.

Under John’s innovative leadership, the Board is confident Essex Power will continue its growth and success as a dynamic energy company. Through John’s strategic vision and the support of our world class employees, Essex Power will continue to meet the challenges and seize the opportunities of the ever-changing and exciting electricity sector,” said Mayor Gary McNamara, Chair, Essex Power Board of Directors.

Avdoulos has been part of the Essex Power Group of Companies since 2006, serving in various capacities, including Chief Operating Officer at HoldCo Essex Power.

Avdoulos holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Windsor, a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Lawrence Technological University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Windsor and a McLaughlin Masters Certificate in Project Management. John Avdoulos is also a member of the Association of Energy Engineers.

Tracey is retiring after more than 34 years of service in the electric distribution industry.
