Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning as significant snowfall is expected overnight into Saturday.
Officials say that snow is expected to move into the area overnight as a low pressure system approaches. Snow will be heavy at times Saturday morning. The snow will transition to rain Saturday afternoon and then change to light flurries Saturday evening.
Total snowfall amounts of 15 to 20 cm or 6 to 8 inches are likely.
Winds gusting up to 60 km/h will create areas of blowing snow giving reduced visibilities, particularly Saturday morning.
