UPDATED: Police Investigation Underway At St John Vianney Elementary School

Windsor Police continue to investigate a “unsubstantiated threat” at St John Vianney Catholic Elementary School.

As a precaution all of the students and staff were moved to the church across the street early this morning.

Just after 10am the police and the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board determined that it is now safe for students to begin re-entering St. John Vianney Catholic Elementary School.

“We want to reassure you that your children were kept safe and well supervised at the church throughout the duration of this morning’s incident. The Windsor Police Service is continuing the investigation and as a precautionary measure patrol officers will be paying special attention to the area for the remainder of the day,” said a message from the school board.
