Windsor Woman Killed On The 401

OPP are investigating a fatal accident on the 401.
Police say the single vehicle accident happened around 1am on December 1st, 2019 in the Chatham area.
They say that the vehicle was travelling westbound near Orford Road left the roadway and came to rest in a treeline on the north side of the highway.
The lone occupant driver, a 37-year-old Windsor woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The westbound lanes of Highway 401 were closed for approximately seven hours as the OPP investigated. The highway has since reopened.
