The Salvation Army’s Christmas reports that their Kettle Campaign has exceeded its goal of $350,000.
The campaign wrapped up at noon today, totaling $358,380.
They had been over $130,000 behind this year’s goal of $350,000 just six days ago.
“Money raised through the Kettle Campaign allows The Salvation Army to continue giving people in our community the tools they need to rebuild dignity and renew hope–whether it’s providing food and toys at Christmas, emergency disaster relief, shelter or life-skills development,” said Shannon Wise, The Salvation Army’s divisional director of marketing & communications.
Last week, The Salvation Army Centre of Hope provided food hampers for 788 families and toys for over 1,200 local children.
