Jackson Park Adjustments For Bright Lights Windsor Set Up Continue

As preparations and equipment installations for Bright Lights Windsor continues, more of the park will be closed.

The parking lot off Tecumseh Road will be closed from 7am to 3pm on Tuesday, November 5th and Wednesday, November 6th, 2019 to accommodate the arrival of the central tree.

As well, closures will expand north towards Tecumseh Road this week, and residents will notice additional areas of the park with fence enclosures while structures are installed. The fencing will continue to move west towards Ouellette Avenue next week and then move south through the park.

For those visiting monuments at Jackson Park on Remembrance Day, the Tecumseh Road parking lot at Jackson Park will be open. Some spots will remain unavailable due to park preparations, but the majority will be available to visitors to the park’s memorials on November 11th.

Installation and accompanying closures will occur in phases this year, in an attempt to maximize availability of the park for visitors while preparations take place.
