The Town of Essex has  launched a new website designed to be a one-stop shop for potential investors and new business owners.

The site, JoinUsInEssex.ca, provides a variety of useful features to make locating and starting a business easier.

These features include:

  • An up-to-date listing of local commercial and industrial properties available for lease or purchase. The available properties tool is a first for municipal economic development sites in the region and provides quick access for potential investors.
  • BizPal Online Service which provides streamlined access to business permits, licenses and other requirements from federal, provincial and municipal governments.
  • A comprehensive overview of the Town’s financial incentives (including Community Improvement Plans) as well as external links to local business groups and economic development agencies.
  • Community- and ward-level profiles, key industries, and local success stories to convey what makes the Town of Essex a unique investment opportunity.
  • An economic development newsfeed highlighting the most recent events and announcements.

“This Council and I have made attracting new businesses a priority since day one,” said Mayor Larry Snively. “This website is another example of making it easier for potential investors to explore what the Town has to offer and what sets us apart as a destination of choice for new businesses.”

“Our new website adds a personal touch to economic development by celebrating and recognizing the business owners who call the Town of Essex home,” added Nelson Silveira, Economic Development Officer. “We know that by sharing their story, and making the process of starting a new business as easy possible, investors will recognize why they should join us in Essex.”
